As a business, Green Space UK has grown considerably since 2013, helping people across the country turn their conservatory into a useable room. This year, we want to give back a little more by helping charities close to the hearts of the people that have helped get us to where we are today – our staff.
The total amount raised, as well as a small blurb on each charity, will be updated on a monthly basis – so please do check back to see exactly how we are helping and, most importantly, which wonderful charities we will be helping this year!
Also, show your support and follow our fund raising events through our social media channels.
Alcohol Change UK spreads awareness of alcohol abuse and provides support to those affected by it.
They are not anti-alcohol; they are for alcohol change. They are for a future in which people drink as a conscious choice, not a default; where the issues which lead to alcohol problems – like poverty, mental health issues, homelessness – are addressed; where those of us who drink too much, and loved ones, have access to high-quality support whenever we need it, without shame or stigma.
To raise money for the charity, everyone at the Greenspace headquarters got involved with Dry January and had a mocktail day to celebrate.
Autism is a lifelong disability which affects how people communicate and interact with the world. There are approximately 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK. The National Autistic Society is the UK’s largest provider of specialist autism services. Their trained staff and volunteers bring passion and expertise to the lives of 100,000 autistic people every year.
To raise money for the charity, everyone at the Greenspace headquarters we have a raffle.
Sport Relief is a biennial charity event from Comic Relief, in association with BBC Sport, which brings together the worlds of sport and entertainment to raise money to help vulnerable people in both the UK and the world’s poorest countries.
Sport Relief brings the nation together to raise money through the power of sport. They fight inequality to create a better, fairer world – free from poverty. They won’t stop until this is a reality. Since 2018, support from the public has helped 13m people across the UK and around the world.
This year, we have decided to get involved by taking part in our own sports day. Competing one another at table tennis, darts and much more. See how we get on through our social links!
WWF is an international non-profit charity working in the field of wilderness preservation, and the reduction of human impact on the environment.
Their mission is to create a world where people and wildlife can thrive together.
To do this they are finding ways to help transform the future for the world’s wildlife, rivers, forests and seas; pushing for a reduction in carbon emissions that will avoid catastrophic climate change; and pressing for measures to help people live sustainably, within the means of our one planet.
To raise money for the charity, everyone at the Greenspace headquarters will have dress down Friday and ‘Wear it Wild’ for a day. Follow our social media channels to see how we look!
