COVID-19 Update

To our customers and new enquiries,

We want to assure you that as a company we are adhering to all Government guidelines regarding the Covid-19 pandemic and the safety of our customers and staff is our number #1 priority.

Following the Government’s announcement on 31st October that there will be a 4-week lockdown from 5th November 2020, we have carefully examined the new national restrictions on the Government website – please see below for how this may affect your order or quotation enquiry. As always, things are changing on a daily basis but we will update this page as and when updates are made to any of the information contained within.

If you have placed an order with us...

The Government are actively encouraging construction work to continue – and this applies to our surveys, installations, service calls and quality checks. We are continuing to book all of these as we have been before. Any representative of Green Space UK entering your conservatory will take all necessary social distancing precautions including wearing a mask, remaining at least 2m from yourself, sanitising hands before entering and cleaning the work area before and after the work is carried out. All of our survey, installation and service staff take part in daily temperature checking and this is logged and recorded by their managers on a daily basis. Any staff showing any symptoms of COVID-19 will not be allowed to return to work until they have had a negative COVID-19 test result and have followed all of the necessary isolation guidelines. All staff and representatives have read and signed our COVID-19 risk assessment.

During your appointment please refrain from entering the conservatory, and do not offer refreshments to our staff (as much as they love tea and biscuits, they will have their own refreshments throughout the day!). This is to avoid any unnecessary contact. Our staff have been advised not to use your toilet facilities whilst working.

If possible, please arrange for external access to the conservatory on the day so that we do not need to enter the main home, and keep the conservatory well ventilated with windows open before and after the appointment.

For customers with upcoming appointments, if you, a person in your household or a person you have been in contact with has COVID-19, or has any symptoms of COVID-19, please inform us as soon as you can so that we can rearrange any appointments that you have booked.

Our office and support staff are still working hard to progress your orders as quickly as they possibly can. Due to social distancing in the office, new work from home procedures and potential staff isolation incidents – there may be instances where your order is slightly delayed, and we appreciate your patience in these cases. Unforeseen delays with our suppliers may also delay your order slightly – in these instances we will endeavour to keep you informed and progress your order to completion as soon as possible.

Due to a reduction in staff working in the office (to adhere to social distancing guidelines), our telephone lines are currently being manned by an external call handling company. They will take a message and pass it over to the relevant staff member to deal with your enquiry. We will respond to your enquiry as quickly as we can.

The best method of reaching us is via email, which will ensure a written record of your enquiry is made in order for us to best respond in the best manner. You can email us at info@gogreenspace.co.uk

If you are looking for a quotation...

The government website states that people are allowed to leave their homes during the National Lockdown:

  • for work purposes, where your place of work remains open and where you cannot work from home (including if your job involves working in other people’s homes)

This means that we are still able to perform socially-distanced quotations.

Any representative of Green Space UK entering your conservatory will take all necessary social distancing precautions including wearing a mask, remaining at least 2m from yourself, sanitising hands before entering and sanitising the work area before and after any measuring is carried out.

It is very important that we reduce the number of visits made to your property, to avoid all unnecessary travel and contact and to keep yourselves and our staff safe. This means that we require all homeowners present at quotation appointments to ensure any questions can be answered and product samples can be examined by all involved parties during one single visit, avoiding the need for further repeat visits.

For customers with upcoming quotation appointments, if you, a person in your household or a person you have been in contact with has COVID-19, or has any symptoms of COVID-19, please inform us as soon as you can so that we can rearrange any appointments that you have booked.

Our enquiries team are currently very busy working through a large amount of incoming enquiries as people are forced to spend more time in their conservatories and are looking to make it more useable – with some staff working from home and those in the office split between different rooms to ensure social distancing guidelines can be adhered to. This means that everything takes slightly longer in terms of scheduling your quotation appointment and there may be a slight delay in responding to your quotation request. Rest assured, we will be in touch as soon as we possibly can to progress your quotation and get you a price for replacing your own conservatory roofing panels.

Due to a reduction in staff working in the office (to adhere to social distancing guidelines), our telephone lines are currently being manned by an external call handling company. They will take a message and pass it over to the relevant staff member to deal with your enquiry. The best method of contacting us if you are a new enquiry is not by phone, but by filling in the new enquiry form below.
