Green Space UK’s insulated conservatory roof panels are designed to replace suitable existing glass or polycarbonate roof panels while retaining the existing conservatory roof framework where possible.
Rather than replacing the entire conservatory, our made-to-measure Thermotec panels provide a practical way to improve the roof with less disruption. Each panel is individually manufactured to fit your conservatory and installed by Green Space UK.
How Our Insulated Conservatory Roof Panels Work
Traditional conservatory roofs can allow significant heat transfer through the roof. During warmer weather, heat from the sun can build up inside the conservatory. In colder weather, warmth from inside the room can escape through the roof.
Our Thermotec roof panels are designed to reduce this heat transfer and help create a more comfortable conservatory throughout the year.
Each panel is constructed using a lightweight aluminium casing and 75mm of high-density insulation. Thermotec panels have a U-value of 0.29 W/m²K. A U-value measures how readily heat passes through a material, with a lower figure indicating better resistance to heat transfer.

A More Comfortable Conservatory Throughout the Year
In summer, the insulated panels help reduce heat transfer through the roof and limit overhead glare from direct sunlight. In winter, the 75mm insulated core helps reduce heat loss through the roof and retain warmth more effectively.
The insulated construction can also help reduce the noise of rain and bad weather compared with traditional glass or polycarbonate roofing. Heating the conservatory may be easier, with less heat escaping through the roof, although the overall comfort of the room will also depend on factors such as the windows, doors, flooring and surrounding structure.
