Throughout January we have been supporting Dorset Mind as part of our Charity of the Month scheme. We’ve done an inhouse fundraiser with our staff and will be donating £5 for every sale in January.
We’ve had a very exciting start to 2022 kicking the year off with a record January, transforming over 180 conservatories into warm, usable spaces! The Green Space Uk staff also took part in a staff quiz, donating £2 per entry and giving us a chance to get to know one another better!
We’ve been so excited to raise money and support Dorset Mind as their work is very close to the hearts of members of our staff!
Dorset Mind is a local charity that provides support for those suffering with their mental health.
- They educate, challenge mental health stigma and inequality, and support recovery through empowering individuals to develop resilience.
- Their 1-2-1 and group support includes active monitoring (CBT-type coaching), befriending, counselling, mentoring, a wide range of support groups and alternative social prescriptions.
- These services prevent worsening mental health illness and help people to regain social skills and develop confidence.
- The charity also delivers educational wellbeing programmes for schools and workplaces alongside providing volunteer opportunities across all areas of the organisation.
Dorset Mind commemorated their 75th Anniversary in 2021 and will be celebrating this milestone with a sky diving event this year: ‘75 for Skydive’ and are inviting people to come along and support them!
We’re also hoping to meet with all of our 12 charities representatives soon!
