There was welcome news this week, as the Chancellor set out plans to help millions of people get help with their energy bills.
Speculation had been rife in the media about what the Chancellor might do to help with the cost of living and now we know the following, with a temporary windfall tax on oil and gas giants funding the payments:
- One-off payments of different amounts will be given to the most vulnerable.
- All households will receive a £400 discount on energy bills
- Eight million lowest income families will also get a one-off payment of £650.
- There is a one-off disability cost of living payment of £150, with pensioners getting £300
This is welcome news, as Ofgem predicts typical household energy bills are set to rise by £800 in October, to £2,800 a year.
However, there’s another option that you might consider to help lower your energy bills and add value to your property.
Do you have a conservatory?
Millions of homes do, coming in all shapes and sizes. However, whilst styles vary hugely, there is often a common problem and it could be having a major impact on your energy bills.
Have you ever noticed that your conservatory is TOO WARM in the summer and then TOO COLD in the winter?
It all comes down to insulation and when it isn’t great, that means a lot of lost heat in the winter and trapped heat in the summer.
However, there is a solution and we have it…
We can transform your conservatory and your heating bills in less than a day with the addition of Green Space UK's insulated conservatory roof panels.
We have now helped over 9000 customers get a room that is warmer in the winter, cooler in the summer and quieter in bad weather.
How?
Simple really. The panels are made of a lightweight aluminium, sandwiched around a layer of high-density insulation to give you a usable room, all year round. We work with your existing framework so no structural changes are needed to install your bespoke panel replacements.
The great thing is that this will help save on your energy bills as you won’t be wasting energy.
