Green Space UK Hits the Bullseye for Alzheimer’s Society with Charity Darts Event
At Green Space UK, we’re always looking for ways to support important causes and bring our team together, and this month’s charity event did exactly that.
As part of our ongoing fundraising efforts, we hosted our “Darts for Dementia” event in support of Alzheimer’s Society, with colleagues coming together for a fun and friendly game of Killer in the breakroom.
Alzheimer’s Society works to support people living with dementia and their families, providing advice, guidance and vital services. They also fund research and campaign for improvements in dementia care, helping to create a future where no one has to face dementia alone.
A Friendly Competition for a Great Cause
The competition quickly became more exciting than expected, with plenty of friendly rivalry and some impressive (and sometimes lucky!) throws.
Reece, Alan W, Ella, Allistair, Nosa and Daryl joined Rebecca and Alan P for the challenge, with everyone battling it out to stay in the game.
After some dramatic changes in the leaderboard, Reece and Alan P went head-to-head following Reece’s knockout of Allistair, while Alan W competed against Ella and Nosa.
Eventually, it came down to Daryl and Rebecca, and after a few very lucky darts, Rebecca took the win!
The event proved that you don’t need to be a professional darts player to get involved. The best part of Killer is that anyone can win, making it a great way for everyone to take part, have fun and support a fantastic cause.
Whether you’re a darts enthusiast or someone picking up a dart for the first time, the aim was simply to bring people together and raise money for a worthwhile charity.
Raising Money for Alzheimer’s Society
Thanks to the generosity and support of our team, we have now raised over £300 for Alzheimer’s Society through this event.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated, participated, supported our events, or helped make our fundraising activities possible. Every contribution helps charities continue their vital work, and we’re incredibly proud of what our team has achieved together.
