Green Space UK Raises £180 for the RNLI in 37-Mile Team Rowing Challenge

At Green Space UK, supporting our local community is a key part of who we are. As a family run business, we are always looking for opportunities to give back, support meaningful causes, and bring our team together outside of day-to-day work.

That mindset is exactly what inspired our recent fundraiser in support of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

The team recently completed a rowing challenge, raising £180 for the RNLI in the process.

Rowing 37 Miles for the RNLI

Using a rowing machine kindly borrowed from Revolution Gym, the team worked together to row a total of 37 miles, covering the equivalent distance from Bournemouth Pier to Old Harry Rocks.

Throughout the day, colleagues took turns contributing their miles, pushing themselves to keep the momentum going and reach the target distance.

What started as a fundraising challenge quickly became a highly competitive and energetic team event!

Supporting a Life-Saving Cause

The RNLI is an incredible charity that saves lives at sea around the UK coastline every single day. Knowing that our efforts were helping support this vital work made every metre rowed even more meaningful.

We are proud to have raised £180, which will go towards helping the RNLI continue their essential rescue services and volunteer operations.

Teamwork, Competition and a Great Atmosphere

One of the best parts of the challenge was the team spirit throughout the day. There was a strong sense of friendly competition, with everyone encouraging each other while also trying to push out a few extra metres.

From experienced gym users to complete beginners, the team contributed to reach the final 37-mile total. The energy, laughter, and determination made it a brilliant, shared experience for the whole team and the RNLI got in touch to say thanks!

Our North Star as a Family Run Business

As a family run local business, giving back to our community is central to our North Star of Trust, Excellence and Sustainability. We believe it is important to support local and national charities wherever we can and to use our platform to make a positive difference.

Whether it is improving homes through our conservatory roof solutions or raising money for good causes, our focus remains on creating real value for people beyond just the services we provide.

Thank You to Everyone Involved

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, donated, and supported the challenge, and to Revolution Gym for kindly lending us the rowing machine and helping make the event possible!

Completing 37 miles and raising £180 for the RNLI is something the whole team can be proud of, and it has already inspired us to think about our next challenge.
