Supporting Our Local Community at Christmas

At Green Space, we believe that supporting a local community in the surrounding areas to our business is just as important as the work we do for our customers. This Christmas, our team proudly supported the Winton Salvation Army Christmas Appeal by donating toys for children and families in the local community.

About the Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal

The Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal helps provide gifts for hundreds of children every year who are nominated by health visitors and social workers. These toy donations help ensure that children facing difficult circumstances can still experience the joy of Christmas, offering comfort and happiness during a challenging time of year.

Collecting and Delivering the Toys

Over the past couple of weeks, we've gathered new toys for all ages and collected them together in a large Santa sack for delivery. Our team delivered the donated toys directly to the Winton Salvation Army Church and Community Centre in Winton Bournemouth, where the Present Appeal is running. The centre plays a vital role in the local community throughout the year, offering support services, community programmes, and a welcoming space for people who need help and connection.

A Warm Welcome and Heartfelt Thanks

We were greeted with kindness at the door despite the early hour and we were happy to help get the toys where they needed to go. We were then honoured to receive a thank you letter and email from the Winton Salvation Army, expressing their own gratitude as well as on behalf of the children who will receive these gifts on Christmas Day. Feedback like this highlights the real impact that local businesses and community support can have when working together.

Thank You to Our Team

We would like to thank everyone at Green Space who contributed a toy to the Christmas toy donation and all who helped organise the collection and delivery. Your generosity has made a meaningful difference to families in Winton and the wider Bournemouth area.
