Where are you reading this? In your kitchen? On your phone? Your office? Maybe your conservatory? How about in your office conservatory? That’s where our Managing Director Brennan Jacomb was when he spoke to the Sunday Times recently about all things GreenSpace. They’d heard about our plans for growth locally here in Hampshire and at our new West Midlands depot. They were also keen to hear about our ambitious plans to plant well over 2,500 trees this year as part of our commitment to the environment - how’s that for GreenSpace!? More on that initiative to follow.
However, what really got them interested, along with a lengthy chat about rising steel prices and the impact that is having on the UK economy (yes, us included sadly) was the growing trend we’re seeing in people working from home in their conservatories. We all know working from home has been on the rise and is now actively encouraged by the government and thus by many employers. Plus, we’ve all got stories of cats invading Zoom calls, working at the kitchen table (not the cats), the back bedroom, even in the garden when it is warm enough!
However, we’re currently seeing major demand from customers who are seeking to repurpose their conservatory from a lounge or dining area into more of a study or at least a hybrid work space. The challenge, as ever, is keeping it warm in winter and cool in summer. That’s where we come in of course.
Can you see yourself working in your conservatory? Or, could a potential buyer or renter? Think about how you might transform your conservatory and give your career or business a huge productivity boost.
